LEADERSHIP
My career has provided me with the experience(s) that help me to be an effective Mayor. I have held leadership positions professionally that involved managing organizations with a diversity of staff and volunteers as well as more focused management of day-to-day workplaces. The diversity of experiences has taught me how to take a wider, forward-looking view of issues confronting a town.
Additionally, my degree and work in natural resources and life sciences has given me the perspective needed to help Moscow transition issues of water and climate change. My science-based background has provided me experience to sift through conflicting information to focus on the most critical points of a challenge.
My service to the City of Moscow over the past 18 years has given me experience and perspective in the details of managing a city. I have deep experience in Planning and Zoning, budget formation and implementation and Idaho law pertaining to ordinances and regulations that govern city management.
I feel qualified to "hit the ground running" as mayor.
